Job summary

AECOM is seeking a Senior Control System Designer for data centers with a flexible remote option. You will design state-of-the-art automation and SCADA for mechanical and electrical systems on global data center projects.

This role combines hands-on design work with client-facing collaboration and periodic travel as needed. The position requires 8+ years in instrumentation and control, BAS/PLC experience, and familiarity with SCADA, Modbus, BACnet, and OT networks.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree with 8+ years of relevant experience or demonstrated equivalency.
• Experience with BAS & PLC control system platforms.
• Experience with Electrical Power Monitoring Systems (PMS/EPMS).
• Experience with data center or mission critical environments.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate with mechanical design team to develop control sequences, diagrams, and points lists.
• Coordinate with electrical design team on network architectures and points lists.
• Coordinate with ICT design team to coordinate structured ethernet cabling interfaces to control panels.
• Design OT networks for control systems including ethernet and serial networks.
• Develop basis of design for BAS, PLCs and PMS controllers and related datasheets.
• Develop and tailor specifications for division 23, 25, and 26 controls and cybersecurity.
• Verify compliance with applicable US codes and standards.
• Work with templated models for deployment and track design changes.
