Job summary

EthosEnergy in Pittsfield, MA is seeking a Control Room Operator / Licensed 3rd Class Engineer for Pittsfield Generating Station. You will oversee safe, reliable plant operations and manage all on-shift activities from cold starts to emergencies.

The position requires strong troubleshooting, sound judgment and leadership, plus experience with test equipment, calibration appliances and reading P&IDs. Massachusetts 2nd Class Engineers license is required; candidate must pass the license test

Qualifications

• At least 10+ years of direct, related experience
• Experience with health and safety regulations and hazardous energy handling
• Strong troubleshooting, judgment, and leadership
• Ability to pass the 2nd Class Engineers license test within 12 months

Responsibilities

• Make decisions on non-routine or escalated technical issues.
• Prioritize and execute for a single trade or related tasks.
• Check work quality; ensure high technical competency.
• Resolve complex issues; mentor others as needed.
• Work under limited supervision and guide others.
• Plan weekly schedules and lead task completion.
• Provide on-the-job training in complex technical areas.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
