Job summary

NextDecade is seeking a senior contract professional to manage the full lifecycle of contracts within our energy-focused shared services. You will coordinate planning, draft and negotiate commercial agreements, and work with Legal, Finance, and HR to mitigate risk.

The role requires 7+ years in contract management, strong negotiation and communication skills, and the ability to influence across a matrixed organization. Houston, TX-based, with compliance to federal requirements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in business, Supply Chain, or related field.
• 7+ years of contract management experience in the energy sector with MLA, OEM MSA, PSA, or POs.
• Strong negotiation, communication, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
• Solid understanding of contract law and procurement principles.

Responsibilities

• Manage the full contract lifecycle from development through execution and closeout.
• Coordinate planning, strategy, and pre-award activities with stakeholders.
• Lead development, review, and negotiation of commercial contracts across Shared Services functions.
• Drive dialogue across procurement teams and align terms with company objectives.
• Execute complex RFx events and manage contractual risk with Legal, Insurance, and Cyber teams.
• Maintain contract records, templates, and playbooks; support audits and change management.
• Monitor milestones, deliverables, and obligations to ensure compliance and performance.
