We are seeking an experienced Senior Contracts & Procurement Manager to lead the sourcing, procurement, and contracting activities associated with major capital projects in an EPC environment.

This individual will oversee the procurement of engineering services, long-lead equipment, materials, and contractor packages from the initial sourcing strategy through contract award and ongoing administration during project execution. The role combines strategic sourcing expertise with hands‑on project delivery and requires close coordination across technical, commercial, and project teams.

The successful candidate will help ensure critical equipment and services are secured at competitive commercial terms, meet required quality and compliance standards, and support project schedules and overall delivery objectives.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage the full RFQ/RFP process, including preparing solicitation documents, issuing bid packages, coordinating bidder questions, and evaluating submitted proposals.

  • Identify and assess potential suppliers and contractors based on technical capabilities, commercial terms, capacity, and project requirements.

  • Develop bid analyses, comparison tools, and supplier evaluation summaries to support well‑documented award decisions.

  • Create and maintain competitive tension among qualified suppliers to achieve favorable pricing and commercial conditions.

  • Conduct supplier and market research to evaluate pricing trends, manufacturing capacity, capabilities, availability, and anticipated lead times.

  • Ensure all sourcing activities are conducted in accordance with procurement policies, quality expectations, and ethical business practices.

Contracts & Commercial Management
  • Lead the development, negotiation, and execution of contracts in partnership with internal legal stakeholders and external suppliers.

  • Ensure agreements clearly define scope, commercial terms, responsibilities, deliverables, and project requirements.

  • Manage purchase orders, service agreements, contract modifications, and amendments throughout the project lifecycle.

  • Coordinate with Project Controls and Legal to maintain visibility into contract status, approvals, and outstanding actions.

  • Maintain complete and organized contract documentation, correspondence, and executed agreements in SharePoint in an audit‑ready format.

Procurement Planning & Project Coordination
  • Develop procurement strategies and execution plans that align with project budgets, schedules, milestones, and delivery requirements.

  • Partner with Engineering, Construction, and Project Management teams to establish scopes of work, technical specifications, and supplier requirements.

  • Work closely with Project Controls to develop procurement schedules, sourcing trackers, and equipment or material delivery reporting.

  • Support supply chain planning initiatives that align procurement activities with broader business and project objectives.

  • Maintain visibility across procurement milestones and ensure potential issues are identified early.

Cost, Schedule & Supply Chain Risk Management
  • Monitor market conditions and lead times for critical equipment and materials, particularly items with extended manufacturing or delivery cycles.

  • Identify and communicate procurement‑related risks that could affect project schedules.

  • Gather and maintain market intelligence from supplier quotations, market assessments, and other available data to support estimating and lead‑time planning.

  • Perform pricing analysis and benchmarking to validate supplier proposals and identify cost‑saving opportunities.

  • Develop recommendations to mitigate procurement and supply chain risks and protect project delivery timelines.

  • Track procurement performance, supplier delivery results, realized savings, and other relevant KPIs to support continuous improvement.

Supplier & Stakeholder Management
  • Serve as a key point of contact between internal project stakeholders and external suppliers and contractors.

  • Coordinate closely with Engineering, Construction, Accounting, Project Controls, and Legal throughout the procurement and contracting process.

  • Manage supplier communications and ensure vendors provide required responses, documentation, and deliverables on schedule.

  • Develop and maintain productive supplier relationships that encourage collaboration, reliability, and innovation.

  • Support supplier onboarding by coordinating required documentation, including tax forms, payment information, confidentiality agreements, and insurance records, with internal Accounting teams.

  • Lead supplier performance discussions and lessons‑learned reviews and support improvements based on identified opportunities.
