Job summary

Pacifico Energy is seeking a Senior Contracts & Procurement Manager to lead end-to-end sourcing, tendering, and contract management for EPC power projects serving data centers. This role blends strategic sourcing with hands-on execution to secure long-lead equipment and contractor packages on schedule and within budget.

Qualifications

• 10+ years in procurement, contracts, or supply chain within power generation, renewable energy, construction, EPC, or oil & gas
• Experience leading competitive tenders for engineering services, materials, and contractor packages from scope to award
• Strong understanding of EPC procurement processes, contract management, and commercial negotiation
• Bachelor's degree in a related field
• Advanced proficiency in Excel and SharePoint; experience with ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, Procore, or Sage)
• Excellent communication, analytical, and coordination skills in a fast-paced project environment
• Strategic sourcing and commercial acumen with a bias toward competition
• Ability to manage multiple projects concurrently
• Experience on power generation projects serving data centers or large-load users is a plus
• Exposure to long-lead power generation equipment markets (turbines, generators, transformers, switchgear) is a plus
• Certification in procurement or supply chain (e.g., CIPS, CPSM) is a plus

Responsibilities

• Manage end-to-end RFP/RFQ process: draft bid packages, distribute documents, manage inquiries, collect and level bids
• Identify, prequalify, evaluate suppliers and contractors on technical and commercial merit
• Develop bid comparison matrices and vendor evaluation summaries
• Drive competition to secure best costs and terms
• Conduct market and vendor research for cost, capability, and lead times
• Ensure sourcing activities align with procurement policies and quality standards
• Lead contract preparation, negotiation, and finalization with Legal and vendors
• Administer purchase orders and service agreements with Project Controls and Legal
• Track contract progress and approvals, maintain audit-ready records in SharePoint
• Develop and execute procurement strategies aligned with project schedules and milestones
• Collaborate with Engineering, Construction, Project Management to define specs and vendor requirements
• Build procurement schedules, bid trackers, and dashboards with Project Controls
• Implement supply chain strategies to support project objectives
• Monitor lead times and communicate potential schedule impacts
• Collect market data to support cost estimating and lead-time tracking
• Conduct cost analysis and benchmarking for materials and services
• Identify procurement risks and propose mitigation strategies
• Maintain vendor performance reviews and continuous improvement actions
• Foster stakeholder collaboration across Engineering, Construction, Accounting, and Legal
• Support supplier onboarding with documentation and compliance processes
• Travel occasionally to supplier locations or project sites
