Job summary

Capital One is seeking a Senior Manager, Contract Manager to lead and mentor a contracts team within the Enterprise Supplier Management group. You will draft, redline and negotiate third-party agreements, drive risk-managed deals, and coordinate with business units, legal and data security.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree or Military experience.
• At least 6 years of experience in drafting, evaluating, negotiating and executing procurement contracts.
• At least 2 years of experience in people management.
• Juris Doctorate preferred.
• 7+ years of experience creating and executing contracting and negotiation strategies.

Responsibilities

• Assessment and Planning: Assessing transactions and creating deal strategies in coordination with stakeholders.
• Drafting: Drafting and/or redlining contracts to protect Capital One from risk using best practices.
• Negotiation: Negotiating with suppliers to meet contracting standards and business objectives.
• Transaction Management: Managing multiple transactions and driving deals to completion.
• Communication: Regularly communicating with internal stakeholders including LOB, legal, compliance and data security.
• Collaboration: Working with the ESM team and business units.
• People Management: Coaching and mentoring junior Contract Managers and workload balance.
• Process Improvement: Identifying and implementing improvements to contracting processes.
• Strategic Advice: Advising on Capital One policies to minimize contractual risk.
