Job summary

CGS Federal (Contact Government Services) is seeking a skilled Contracts Manager in Detroit to oversee and maintain current agreements and negotiate new contracts. The role requires deep contract-management expertise to ensure compliance and optimize terms for government-related work.

As part of our Administrative and Logistics Support team, you will lead lifecycle activities, manage risk, and coordinate with internal teams to deliver cradle-to-grave administration for government contracts,

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree required.
• 3+ years managing various contract types and solicitations.
• Knowledge of Federal Contracting guidelines.
• 3+ years supporting Federal clients.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a federal government security clearance.
• Proven experience with MS Outlook, Excel, and Teams.

Responsibilities

• Ensure overall contract compliance for assigned tasks, adhering to contract requirements and laws.
• Lead and coordinate proposal and award activities for assigned contracts throughout the contract lifecycle.
• Independently review complex contract actions and implement plans to address risks and opportunities.
• Collaborate with Business Development, Client Success, and HR teams on contract challenges.
• Serve as SME for contracts and provide guidance on complex issues.
• Provide cradle-to-grave contract administration for government contracts, including RFP analysis, proposal development, and term/conditions drafting.
• Enter contract data into systems, monitor updates, and ensure data quality.
• Engage with contracts, procurement staff, program management, and customers via written and oral communication.
