Job summary

UES, Inc. is seeking a Contracts Manager to lead the commercial and contractual aspects of complex engineering and construction projects.

You will review, draft, and negotiate contracts, ensure compliance with policies, and collaborate with project teams, finance, and legal to mitigate risk and align with business objectives. You will also support pre- and post-award activities, maintain contract records, and help improve templates and processes while staying current on laws and industry trends.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Law, Contract Management, or a related field.
• 5+ years of contract management or administration experience.
• Strong knowledge of contract law, risk management, and regulatory compliance.
• Excellent negotiation, analytical, and communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and work across departments.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office; experience with contract management software or ERP is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Review, draft, and negotiate a variety of contracts including professional services and subcontracts.
• Ensure contracts comply with internal policies, insurance, regulatory guidelines, and best practices.
• Collaborate with project managers, business development, and legal to identify and mitigate risks.
• Maintain a centralized contracts database to monitor terms, renewals, deliverables, and compliance.
• Interpret contract language and guide internal stakeholders on terms and obligations.
• Support pre-award and post-award activities, including proposal review and contract closeout.
• Assist in developing and improving contract templates, processes, and workflows.
• Coordinate with finance and operations on billing terms and revenue recognition.
• Train staff on contract policies and procedures and stay current on laws and trends.
