Job summary

Addison Group in Reston, VA is seeking a Contracts Manager to oversee administration and coordination of construction-related contracts, proposals, vendor agreements, and procurement documents across business units in a hybrid work model.

The ideal candidate will balance legal and operational considerations, help modernize processes, and identify opportunities to apply AI and automation to contract workflows while partnering with leadership, purchasing, and legal counsel.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of experience managing construction contracts and procurement processes.
• Working knowledge of Virginia, Washington DC, and Maryland contract terms.
• Experience from initial review through negotiation, execution, and ongoing administration.
• Advanced Microsoft Word skills and ability to revise negotiated language.
• Excellent communication with executives, attorneys, vendors, and cross-functional partners.
• Experience with contract automation or AI tools is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Manage construction-related contracts and procurement agreements through the contract lifecycle.
• Develop, maintain, and enhance contract, proposal, and vendor templates.
• Review proposed revisions and coordinate with outside counsel on legal/business implications.
• Partner with leadership, purchasing, vendor management, and internal teams to improve workflows.
• Support contract negotiations while maintaining controls and protecting the organization's interests.
• Ensure contract terms are commercially reasonable and aligned with business objectives.
• Improve efficiency and consistency of contract review, approval, and execution processes.
• Identify opportunities to leverage AI, automation, and technology within contract management.
• Collaborate with multiple operating businesses and stakeholders.
