Job summary

Ameri-Force is seeking an experienced Contracts Administrator in San Diego, CA. The role focuses on cradle-to-grave contract management, including RFP reviews, proposal support, negotiations, and risk identification.

You will coordinate with Program Managers, Engineering, Legal, and external customers to ensure compliant and profitable contract execution while maintaining strong stakeholder communication and meticulous documentation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in a marine field/engineering/business or related field.
• Two years' experience in contracts administration or related field; marine industry preferred.
• Excellent oral and written communications and the ability to present to customer and senior staff.
• Disciplined ability to plan, prioritize, organize, and monitor tasks with limited oversight.
• Operational knowledge of the FAR and DFARs.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain organized files.
• Collaborates with team members across levels and external customers.
• Proficient with Word/Excel/Outlook and Jira workflow.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary point of contact for an assigned contract with external customers and internal stakeholders.
• Draft complex contract letters incorporating feedback from multiple stakeholders.
• Advise on key terms and conditions affecting profitability, schedule, and risk.
• Resolve contractual conflicts and brief management on risks and recommendations.
• Chair meetings with internal and external parties; negotiate changes to contracts.
• Support negotiations for new high-value contracts and draft commercial agreements.
• Collaborate with Business Development to draft contracts and incorporate stakeholder feedback.
• Identify and submit requests for equitable adjustments and other claims.
• Assist with reviews of RFPs and development of compliance matrices for proposals.
