Job summary

UES is seeking a Contracts Manager in Jacksonville, FL to guide commercial and contractual decisions on complex engineering projects. You will partner with executives, project teams, finance, legal, and procurement to manage risk, optimize terms, and support awarded contracts.

You will lead negotiation efforts, maintain standard templates, and ensure compliance with internal policies and external regulations while fostering strong client and partner relationships.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Law, Contract Management, or a related field.
• 5+ years of experience in contract management or administration in engineering/environmental/construction/professional services.
• Strong knowledge of contract law, risk management, and regulatory compliance.

Responsibilities

• Review, draft, and negotiate contracts including professional service agreements, subcontracts, NDAs, purchase orders, and amendments.
• Ensure contracts comply with internal policies, insurance requirements, regulations, and best practices.
• Collaborate with project managers, finance, and legal counsel to identify and mitigate risks.
• Maintain a centralized contracts database to monitor terms, renewals, deliverables, and obligations.
• Provide guidance on terms, obligations, and potential impacts to stakeholders.
• Support pre-award and post-award activities, including proposal review and bid coordination.
• Develop and improve contract templates, processes, and workflows.
• Coordinate with finance to ensure accurate billing terms and revenue recognition.
