Job summary

Metric Geo in Jacksonville seeks a Lead Site/Civil Design Engineer/Principal to lead land development projects. This role is purely technical and focuses on site design, stormwater management, and utility design, with two other leaders handling business development and project management.

The role requires managing client relationships, developing project scopes, and providing strategic vision from inception to execution, while mentoring staff and driving QA/QC across projects.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering; advanced degree is a plus
• Active Professional Engineer license
• Municipal engineering experience preferred; federal market experience a plus

I am currently looking for a Lead Site/Civil Design Engineer/ Principal in Jacksonville

This role will be a purely technical position for land development projects in Jacksonville. There is 2 other leaders focused on Business Development and Project Management. The role is a technical leadership position.

Responsibilities

• Manage client relationships, develop project scopes, and provide strategic vision from project inception to execution.
• Direct civil sitework, stormwater management, and utility design
• Mentor and train design staff, contribute to recruitment and retention, and drive performance improvements.
• Conduct thorough Quality Assurance and Quality Control reviews, and manage construction assistance and administration duties.

Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering (advanced degree is a plus).
• At least 15 years of experience in site design and project management.
• Active Professional Engineer license.
• Experience in municipal engineering preferred; federal market experience is a plus.
