Job summary

Tallgrass is seeking an attorney to provide legal support for traditional midstream operations and energy transition ventures, focusing on services, procurement, and construction contracting. The role partners with Procurement, Project Management, Operations, and Finance to develop, negotiate, administer, interpret, enforce, and close out procurement and project agreements.

Emphasis on risk management and AI-enabled tooling.

Qualifications

• Juris Doctor from an accredited institution required.
• Must be licensed to practice law in at least one U.S. state.
• Experience in construction, procurement, and project support preferred.
• Experience reviewing, negotiating, drafting, interpreting, and enforcing procurement and construction contracts.

Responsibilities

• Negotiate and draft procurement, construction, and vendor agreements.
• Provide legal support across project lifecycle including kickoff, strategy, and closeout.
• Advise on interpretation, enforcement, and administration of contracts to protect the Company.
• Support contract governance improvements and risk management programs.
