Job summary

Revolution Medicines, a California-based oncology company, seeks an experienced Associate Director, Contracts Counsel to lead drafting, negotiation, and management of a broad range of commercial agreements as the company moves toward commercialization.

The role partners with Commercial, Market Access, Marketing, Sales, Medical Affairs, Finance, and Compliance to deliver timely legal support, assess risks, and ensure compliant contracting for product launches and ongoing operations.

Qualifications

• J.D. degree and active bar membership in good standing with at least one U.S. state bar, and California Registered In-House Counsel.
• 7+ years of relevant legal experience, including substantial commercial pharmaceutical contracting experience.
• Familiarity with government pricing and federal contracting (Medicaid Drug Rebate, 340B, VA/FSS).
• Experience in biotechnology/pharmaceutical industry with strong legal and business understanding.

Responsibilities

• Lead drafting, review, negotiation, and management of commercial agreements supporting commercialization and business operations (services, consulting, data, distribution, market access, payer contracting).
• Draft and negotiate wholesaler/distributor, specialty pharmacy, 3PL, GPO, PBM/payer, rebate, and value-based contracting arrangements for product launches.
• Collaborate with Commercial, Market Access, Marketing, Sales, Medical Affairs, Finance, Procurement, and Compliance to provide timely legal support.
• Advise on healthcare compliance, Anti-Kickback Statute, False Claims Act, PhRMA Code, Open Payments, and FDA/OPDP promotional requirements.
• Translate complex legal concepts into clear business guidance and communicate risks with pragmatic mitigation strategies.
• Develop and maintain contract templates, playbooks, approval processes, and CLM tools; train business teams.
