Job summary

Revolution Medicines is seeking an Associate Director, Contracts Counsel to provide strategic legal support for commercialization and cross-functional initiatives. You will lead drafting, negotiation, and management of a broad range of commercial agreements while advising on regulatory and compliance aspects.

The role requires a J.D., active U.S. bar admission (CA in-house preferred), and 7+ years in biotech/pharma contracting, with strong drafting, negotiation, and risk-assessment skills.

Qualifications

• J.D. from an accredited law school and active membership in good standing with at least one U.S. state bar, and California Registered In-House Counsel.
• 7+ years of relevant legal experience, including substantial commercial pharmaceutical contracting experience (law firm and in-house).
• Familiarity with government pricing and federal contracting (Medicaid Drug Rebate Program, 340B, VA/FSS).
• Experience in biotechnology/pharmaceutical industry with regulated life sciences focus.
• Excellent drafting, negotiation, risk assessment, and business-counseling skills.
• Strong project management, organizational, communication, and collaboration abilities for fast-paced environments.
• Maintain confidentiality and uphold high ethical standards in line with RevMed values.

Responsibilities

• Lead drafting, review, negotiation, and management of commercial agreements across services, data, distribution, and payer/vendor arrangements.
• Draft and negotiate wholesaler/distributor, specialty pharmacy, 3PL, GPO, PBM/payer contracts and value-based arrangements.
• Collaborate with Commercial, Market Access, Marketing, Sales, Medical Affairs, Finance, Procurement, and Compliance to provide timely legal support.
• Advise on healthcare compliance, fraud-and-abuse issues, Open Payments, PhRMA Code, and FDA/OPDP requirements.
• Develop and maintain contract templates, playbooks, and contract-management systems; train teams on processes.
