Job summary

Dollar Tree seeks a Senior Assistant General Counsel, Contracts & Corporate to serve as a trusted advisor on commercial contracts and corporate matters. You will draft, negotiate, and advise on complex agreements, including SaaS, software licenses, and vendor arrangements, while partnering with IT, privacy, finance, and procurement teams.

You will lead contracting transformation efforts, develop templates and playbooks, and drive adoption of AI and other technologies to improve speed,

Qualifications

J.D. from ABA-accredited law school.
Active U.S. state bar in good standing with CLE obligations.
10+ years of in-house or large law firm experience.
Experience drafting and negotiating complex commercial agreements (tech, SaaS, licenses).
Experience advising business leaders on contractual, legal, and risk matters.

Responsibilities

Serve as senior legal advisor on a broad range of commercial contracts and IT-related matters.
Draft, review, negotiate, and advise on complex commercial agreements (SaaS, software licenses, MSSP, services).
Advise on legal/regulatory, IP, data protection, confidentiality, and risk in contracts.
Identify risks and provide practical recommendations balancing risk and business objectives.
Manage vendor performance, enforce rights, resolve disputes, and support pre-litigation matters.
Provide strategic legal counsel to executives and cross-functional partners.
