Job summary

Patterson-UTI seeks a Contracts Manager to lead the end-to-end lifecycle of third-party contracts, from drafting through execution and compliance across business units. You will own contract standards, templates, and the contract management system, partnering with Legal, Risk, and Supply Chain leadership.

Reporting to the Director of Supply Chain, you will train category managers, monitor metrics, and maintain filing standards while handling high-value, high-risk negotiations and escalations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent professional experience.
• 5+ years of professional-level experience in contracts or procurement.
• Experience with electronic contract management and records systems.
• Experience administering CLM software such as Coupa.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end contract lifecycle management from drafting to compliance monitoring.
• Own administration of the Coupa CLM system, including configuration and training.
• Develop and enforce contracting standards, templates, and procedures.
• Escalate and resolve disputes, high-risk terms, and negotiation impasses.
• Train category managers to improve contract reviews and reduce rework.
• Track and report metrics like cycle time, cost savings, and expirations.
• Maintain contract management filing, storage, and naming conventions.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.
