Job summary

Lonza is seeking a Senior Contracts & Claims Manager to oversee commercial management of CAPEX projects and to safeguard Lonza's contractual rights. You will work closely with Global Engineering, Project teams, and external suppliers to optimize value, minimize risk, and ensure on-time, on-cost delivery.

The role requires leading contract strategy, negotiations, and change management for large-scale greenfield and brownfield initiatives, with a focus on commitments, claims handling, and dispute

Qualifications

• Experience in CAPEX contract management and commercial oversight.
• Ability to lead contract negotiations and change management.
• Strong understanding of risk mitigation and cost control processes.

Responsibilities

• Define and manage key accountabilities for contract workstreams.
• Support risk mitigation and contracting strategy development.
• Involve cost control, progress measurement, and change management activities.
• Analyze contract conditions and support project execution.
• Lead contract negotiations and ensure compliance with SGIE standards.
• Coordinate with legal counsel and stakeholders on contract reviews.
• Manage warranty, performance guarantees, and supplier relations.
• Oversee project commercial teams to optimize project returns.
• Identify and escalate deviations, risks, and opportunities to Lonza leadership.
