Job summary

ERG is seeking a Senior Contract Administrator to lead full lifecycle contracts from proposal to closeout, advising clients and internal teams on risk and compliance. The role focuses on complex government contracts, pricing, and strategy, leveraging prime contractor experience to strengthen partnerships.

You will mentor junior staff, support policy development, and drive compliant, competitive proposals in a fast-paced environment. Strong technical skills and a proactive mindset are essential.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree required.
  • 12+ years of contract administration for federal/state/local gov projects; prime contractor experience preferred.
  • Familiarity with FAR and contract types (CPFF, T&M, FFP) and pricing analysis.
  • Strong proficiency in Excel, Word, and Adobe for creating and editing docs.
  • Experience with government contracting systems and maintaining compliance.

ERG is seeking a Senior Contract Administrator to support the full lifecycle of contracts—from proposal development through administration and closeout. In this role, you will serve as a key advisor to both clients and internal stakeholders to ensure compliance, manage risk, and drive successful contract execution. In this senior‑level position, you will leverage your expertise to guide complex contract activities, mentor junior team members, and contribute to the continued development of the Contracts Department. Job Description:
  • Administer federal, state, and/or local contracts across the full lifecycle, including proposal preparation, negotiation, administration, and closeout
  • Collaborate with clients and cross‑functional teams (technical, business development, subcontracts, and accounting) to deliver comprehensive contract support
  • Advise senior management on contractual risk, compliance matters, and contract strategy
  • Partner with technical and business leads to drive compliant, competitive proposals
  • Conduct contracts‑related research and analysis and contribute to the development and continuous improvement of contract department policies, procedures, and best practices
  • Support training and development initiatives within the Contracts Department
  • Directly prepare, analyze, and negotiate cost and pricing proposals, including profitability analyses and risk assessments
  • Implement and uphold procurement policies, procedures, and best practices
  • Mentor and provide guidance to junior contract professionals, supporting their development and knowledge of contracting best practices
  • Support contract closeout activities, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and timely resolution of outstanding items
Qualifications and Skills:
  • Bachelor’s degree required
  • Minimum of 12 years of contract administration experience supporting federal, state, and/or local government contracts; experience as a federal government prime contractor in professional services preferred
  • Experience with GSA Multiple Award Schedules, U.S. EPA, and/or DoD contracting is a plus (experience with other federal agencies welcome)
  • Demonstrated expertise in proposal pricing, contract negotiation, and problem solving
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Adobe
  • Solid understanding of Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR) and contract types, including CPFF, T&M, FFP
  • Experience with Deltek Costpoint ERP is a plus
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and proactive problem‑solving skills
