Job summary

McKesson in Irving, TX, seeks a Sr. Manager, Contract Development. This hybrid role combines hands-on deal work with team leadership across contract strategy and execution.

You will guide complex customer agreements, manage a diverse team, leverage AI-enabled tools, and partner with Sales, Legal, Finance, and Operations to drive scalable contracting processes and measurable outcomes. The on-site requirement is two days per week at Las Colinas with remaining days remote.

Qualifications

• Degree or equivalent experience required; 9+ years of professional experience preferred.
• 9+ years of contracts, proposals, deal-building, or related commercial experience.
• 1+ years of people management experience including coaching and performance management.
• Deep knowledge of contract language, deal structure, contracting processes, and commercial requirements.

Responsibilities

• Lead complex contract strategy and execution for high-impact customer agreements.
• Manage and develop a blended workforce including AI-enabled solutions and digital resources.
• Oversee contract portfolio, prioritization, workload balancing, and timely deliverables; contribute to escalated deals.
• Advise Sales and leadership on contract structure, customer requirements, and risk considerations.
• Identify and escalate emerging business, legal, or process issues as appropriate.
• Design and refine cross-BU contracting processes to improve consistency and scalability.
• Drive continuous improvement through analytics, automation, and AI capabilities.
• Demonstrate fluency with digital tools and responsible AI practices.
• Use performance dashboards to identify trends and improve decision-making.
• Build strong relationships with Sales, Legal, Deal Evaluation, Finance, and Operations.
