Job summary

SCAN Health Plan in Long Beach, CA is seeking a Senior Content Strategist to lead and implement our content strategy across print, video, social, and digital channels. You will work closely with Marketing, Creative, and other teams to ensure consistent messaging that supports member engagement and growth.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communication, Journalism, English or related field; equivalent experience will be considered in lieu of degree.
• Graduate or Advanced Degree relating to Content Strategy, Digital Marketing, or related, preferred.
• 5+ years of experience in content strategy, marketing, communications, or a related field, preferably within healthcare, insurance, or a mission-driven organization.

Responsibilities

• Develop and Lead Content Strategy: Shape and execute SCAN’s content strategy, working closely with cross-functional teams to align content with organizational goals.
• Translate Strategy into Multi-Channel Content: Adapt and refine content for various channels—print, video, social media, and digital.
• Create Audience-Centric Content: Develop high-impact content tailored to key audiences, including members, brokers, providers, and industry leaders.
• Optimize for Discoverability: Lead the creation of content that increases SCAN’s visibility and enhances its discoverability across digital platforms.
• Facilitate Cross-Functional Collaboration: Act as the central point of contact between Marketing, Creative, and other departments.
