Material is seeking a Senior Content Strategist to lead content strategy for large-scale websites and digital products. The role is based near one of our offices in New York City or Austin, TX, with a hybrid work arrangement.

You will partner with strategy, UX, product design, and technology teams to shape content hierarchies, taxonomy, and reusable systems while mentoring junior team members and driving editorial quality.

Qualifications

• 5–8 years of relevant experience in content strategy, agency/consultancy or digital product environments.
• Proven ability to lead content strategy for large-scale websites and ecosystems.
• Strong communication skills with cross-functional partners.

Responsibilities

• Lead content strategy workstreams across large-scale websites and digital products.
• Plan and run content strategy workshops with clients and internal teams.
• Analyze stakeholder interviews and research to guide content direction.
• Define content models, taxonomy, and governance for CMS architectures.
• Mentor junior team members and manage editorial processes.
