Job summary

Wondery LLC within Amazon's Creator Services is seeking a Sr. Business Development Manager to own end-to-end deal operations, licensing negotiations, and vendor relationships across streaming and distribution platforms.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of account management, business development, content licensing or finance experience.
• Knowledge of digital video landscape, including distribution technologies.
• Experience with Excel.
• End-to-end ownership of major project deliverables.
• 6+ years of entertainment deal making with major studios, networks, labels, or publishers.
• Experience writing business strategy documents and plans.
• 5+ years negotiating, structuring, and closing licensing or content acquisition agreements.
• Experience securing digital content rights across SVOD, TVOD, or AVOD.
• 5+ years interpreting licensing terms with legal and business affairs teams.
• 5+ years evaluating financial deal terms and deal economics with finance teams.
• Experience building and managing relationships with media companies, networks, artists, agents, or rights holders.
• Experience managing cross-functional deal pipelines across BD, Finance, Legal/BA, and Marketing.
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent professional experience.

Responsibilities

• Manage cross-functional deal pipelines across BD, Finance, BA, and Marketing to drive deals.
• Run pipeline meetings and maintain deal trackers and documentation for visibility.
• Ensure materials are collected to evaluate opportunities.
• Coordinate with modeling teams to test and stress models before greenlight.
• Negotiate, structure, close, and amend licensing agreements with rights holders.
• Secure rights to distribute digital content across SVOD, TVOD, AVOD.
• Interpret contractual terms with Business Affairs and Legal counsel.
• Evaluate deal economics and performance with Finance.
• Build and maintain relationships with media companies, networks, artists, agents, and rights holders.
• Manage vendor relationships and promotional campaigns with Marketing and Product teams.
• Lead external meetings with agents and managers and prepare briefs.
