Zusammenfassung

GCA is seeking a Senior Software Engineer / Containerized Applications Specialist to support NCIS in Quantico, VA. The role focuses on secure software development, containerization, and deployment modernization across diverse hosting environments.

The position offers a hybrid schedule with onsite support 1–2 days per week. You will mentor teams, guide architecture decisions, and help ensure portable, secure, and maintainable solutions.

Qualifikationen

• Active Top Secret clearance with SCI access.
• 10+ years of relevant technical experience.
• Expert-level secure software development across full-stack enterprise environments.
• Expertise developing, configuring, and maintaining containerized applications, including Dockerfiles.
• Experience integrating container configuration with GitHub, GitLab, or Azure DevOps.
• Experience integrating service discovery/mesh technologies such as Consul, ZooKeeper, AWS Cloud Map.
• Experience implementing secure credentials management using Vault, Key Vault, Bitwarden.
• Strong understanding of relational and NoSQL databases.
• Experience with multiple programming languages.
• Must reside within commuting distance of Quantico, VA.

Aufgaben

• Convert existing enterprise applications into containerized architectures for modernization and deployment.
• Design, develop, configure, and maintain containerized components using Docker and IaC configurations.
• Develop, manage, and maintain Dockerfiles and IaC to support repeatable deployments.
• Integrate container development and deployment into GitHub/GitLab/Azure DevOps CI/CD pipelines.
• Support secure software development across full-stack environments and diverse hosting environments.
• Integrate applications with service discovery and service mesh technologies.
• Manage credentials and secrets using Vault, Key Vault, Bitwarden, or similar tools.
• Provide technical guidance and mentoring to development teams.
• Evaluate architectures and recommend improvements for portability, security, and reliability.
• Collaborate with cybersecurity personnel to implement secure containerized solutions.
