Job summary

Gulfstream Aerospace is seeking a Sr Container Platform Engineer to build a robust, self-service container platform for enterprise applications at the Savannah campus. You will drive automation, observability, and onboarding of microservices, collaborating with Business Technology and engineering teams to integrate new services.

The role demands strong container tech skills (Docker, Kubernetes, OpenShift), plus experience with CI/CD and IaC in hybrid environments.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or related field.
• 7 years of experience in DevOps/Platform engineering with container tech focus.
• Foundational Red Hat certifications and container tech certs preferred.

Responsibilities

• Champion architecture, deployment, and management of the OpenShift Platform Plus container orchestration system and ecosystem.
• Innovate automation frameworks to improve deployment and operational workflows.
• Promote DevOps practices across the application lifecycle with cross-functional teams.
• Design platform architecture to meet application demands with security and compliance in mind.
• Ensure reliability, scalability, and performance with proactive monitoring.
• Troubleshoot and refine platform performance for optimal availability.
