Job summary

Charles Schwab is seeking a Senior Container Platform Engineer to design, automate, and operate resilient container platforms across Schwab’s on‑prem data centers. You will shape PCF/Tanzu Platform for Cloud Foundry and OpenShift environments, enabling teams to deploy containerized workloads at scale.

You will influence platform architecture, lifecycle planning, and production support across Linux, compute, networking, storage, identity, and observability.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.
• 7+ years in platform/infra engineering or related fields.
• 4+ years with enterprise PCF/Tanzu/OpenShift in production.
• Hands-on with on-prem container platforms and high-availability systems.
• Experience with Kubernetes cluster architecture, operators, ingress, storage, and security.

Responsibilities

• Influence platform architecture and engineering standards.
• Lead lifecycle planning, automation, and production support.
• Solve cross‑functional problems spanning Linux, networking, storage, identity, and observability.
• Contribute to on-call production support rotations.
• Collaborate with security, infrastructure, and vendor teams.
