Job summary

VyStar Credit Union seeks a Consumer Lending Underwriter & Credit Supervisor to lead the underwriting team, drive loan portfolio performance, and ensure regulatory compliance across digital, branch, and call center channels.

The role requires extensive lending experience, a bachelor's degree, and the ability to develop and implement policy updates in collaboration with cross-functional teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in business or related field required.
• Minimum of five years in loan origination and five years lending authority.
• Strong communication, multitasking, and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Oversee Lending Services teams to meet annual loan volume, portfolio growth, and profitability targets.
• Ensure quality control measures to mitigate credit risk and regulatory compliance.
• Coach, train, and appraise loan underwriters and staff; manage staff schedules and performance.
