About The Job

The Red Hat Consulting team is seeking senior-level Container Infrastructure Consultants to work remotely in the U.S. You will focus on designing and developing automated container platforms, deployment pipelines, and cloud-ready application architectures. Your role includes guiding implementations of Red Hat OpenShift infrastructure projects involving container and virtualization technologies. A quick learner and adaptable mindset are essential, as you will be introduced to new technologies regularly.

Travel Requirements: This position involves regular on-site work with clients across North America, requiring 30-40 weeks of travel annually. Candidates should reside near a primary airport.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Implement automated, containerized cloud application platform solutions focusing on networking, storage, virtualization, security, logging, monitoring, high availability, and resilience.
2. Acquire knowledge of new technologies such as container orchestration, registries, build strategies, cloud storage, and software-defined networks.
3. Travel frequently to collaborate with clients in various industries including finance, retail, telecommunications, and more.

Role Development:

Initial training on Kubernetes and OpenShift will prepare you to:

• Build production-ready container and virtualization platforms integrated with enterprise systems.
• Deploy source code into scalable containers and virtual machines automatically.
• Gain practical experience with Red Hat offerings.

Within 6 months, you'll be able to:

• Deliver customer requirements using Red Hat OpenShift.
• Translate use cases into project plans aligning with Red Hat technologies.
• Transform software delivery practices with DevOps and GitOps.

By 12 months, you will demonstrate leadership by:

• Implementing complex container solutions.
• Mentoring peers in DevOps and container technologies.
• Contributing to community best practices and lessons learned.

Qualifications:

• Experience leading cloud platform consulting engagements.
• Deep technical expertise with VMware ESXi, vCenter, VM lifecycle, networking (S/DV switches, NSX), and storage (Datastores, vSAN, vVols).
• Knowledge of third-party tools like Aria/vRealize, SRM, backup, and performance tools.
• Experience with OpenStack, Red Hat Virtualization, Hyper-V, AWS, Azure is a plus.
• Strong communication skills and a strategic advisory background.
• Willingness to travel extensively within North America.
• Degree in computer science or related field.

Compensation: Salary ranges from $111,260 to $183,580, based on qualifications.
