Job summary

Environmental Resources Management (ERM) seeks a Senior Consultant, EHS Compliance based in Indianapolis, IN or St. Louis, MO to tackle regulatory challenges for global clients and expand technical depth.

You’ll support environmental, health, and safety requirements while collaborating with Project Managers and Partners across diverse projects. You will conduct fieldwork and reporting, build strong client relationships, and contribute to safer, compliant operations.

Qualifications

• BS in engineering, environmental science or related field; Master’s a plus.
• 2+ years of environmental experience or internships; GPA 3.25+ preferred.
• Must have a valid driver's license and willingness to travel across a large geographic area.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical assistance on EHS compliance, site investigations, remediation, and due diligence projects.
• Prepare plans, permits, and reports for hazardous materials and air quality programs.
• Perform Phase I environmental site assessments for property transactions.
• Conduct fieldwork including sampling, drilling, and remedial system operations.
• Compile and evaluate data; assist in report preparation and client engagement.
• Manage multiple projects within scope, budget, and schedule with high-quality deliverables.

Masters a plus; Minimum 3.25 GPA or equivalent experience* 2+ years of relevant environmental experience or professional internships* Strong commitment to safety, and ability to work safely outdoors in variable weather conditions and in challenging terrain* Detail-oriented with excellent critical thinking and trouble-shooting/problem-solving skills* Effective written/verbal communication and organization/analytical skills; experience recording/writing detailed technical data and reports a plus* Experience recording/writing detailed technical data and reports, and building tables and spreadsheets (including tabulation and manipulation of data)* Demonstrated attributes to become a strong consultant: team player, eagerness to learn and grow.
