Job summary

Deloitte is seeking a Commodity Trading & Value Chain Optimization Senior Consultant to drive improvements across trading, logistics and value chains for clients in energy and commodities. You will lead analyses and develop client-ready materials to support performance improvements within the Enterprise Operations & Risk team.

A successful candidate will bring experience in commodity trading, downstream operations, or optimization, and be able to travel around 75% based on client needs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in one of the specified fields.
• 4+ years of experience in commodity trading, value chain optimization, operations, supply chain, or consulting.
• Experience across downstream oil and gas functions (refining, shipping, storage, marketing) or commodity trading operations.
• Experience across the commodity trade lifecycle (deal capture, scheduling or nomination, pricing, settlements, risk exposure).
• Experience creating analyses, presentations, or financial models to quantify business value.
• Ability to travel 75% on average.

Responsibilities

• Lead analysis across the commodity trade lifecycle to identify process, data, and control improvement opportunities.
• Support value chain optimization initiatives across downstream oil and gas and other commodity-intensive sectors.
• Analyze commercial and operational data to quantify value and support performance improvement recommendations.
• Lead workstreams with client stakeholders and Deloitte teams to align deliverables, timelines, and implementation needs.
• Develop client-ready analyses, presentations, and pursuit materials.
