Job summary

Deloitte is seeking a Commodity Trading & Value Chain Optimization Senior Consultant in the United States. The role focuses on driving improvement across the commodity trade lifecycle, downstream value chains, and performance optimization for clients in energy and related sectors.

You will lead workstreams, develop analyses, and coordinate with Deloitte teams to deliver client-ready solutions and pursue opportunities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, Supply Chain, Finance, or Economics
• 4+ years of experience in commodity trading, value chain optimization, operations, supply chain, or consulting
• Experience across downstream oil and gas functions including refining, shipping, storage, marketing, or commodity trading operations
• Experience across the commodity trade lifecycle, including deal capture, scheduling or nomination, pricing, settlements, or market or credit risk exposure
• Experience creating analyses, presentations, or financial models used to quantify business value
• Ability to travel 75%, on average, based on the work you do and the clients and industries/sectors you serve
• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for employer sponsorship, now or at any time in the future

Responsibilities

• Lead analysis across the commodity trade lifecycle to identify process, data, and control improvement opportunities
• Support value chain optimization initiatives across downstream oil and gas and other commodity-intensive sectors
• Analyze commercial and operational data to quantify value and support performance improvement recommendations
• Lead workstreams with client stakeholders and Deloitte teams to align deliverables, timelines, and implementation needs
• Develop client-ready analyses, presentations, and pursuit materials
