Job summary

CrossCountry Consulting is seeking a Senior Consultant in Accounting Advisory in Washington state. You will contribute to financial reporting processes, improve operational accounting, and help implement new accounting standards for diverse client engagements.

This role emphasizes collaboration with client teams and CrossCountry colleagues, applying AI-enabled solutions to increase productivity while upholding professional standards and data protection.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in financial reporting, operational accounting, or complex transactions.
• Experience in professional services (public accounting, advisory firm, or management consulting).
• Strong accounting background including researching complex accounting issues proactively.
• Comfort with AI tools to enhance productivity and innovation.
• Continuous learning mindset with emerging technologies including AI and automation.
• Knowledge of U.S. GAAP and/or IFRS.
• Willingness to travel up to 30%.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement financial reporting processes and filings (10-K/10-Q/8-K).

Senior Consultant - Accounting Advisory

What You'll Do

• Financial Reporting (including the design of reporting processes, restatement assistance, and traditional 10-K, 10-Q, and 8-K filings).
• Operational Accounting (addressing the need for continuous improvement and optimization of finance and accounting functions).
• Implementation of new and existing accounting standards.
• Communicate effectively with the client to convey project findings, updates, and recommendations.
• Contribute to developing and implementing firm-approved, AI-enabled solutions for clients, in accordance with company policies on data protection, intellectual property, and professional standards.
• Stay informed about emerging AI tools and techniques and collaborate with firm leadership to identify compliant opportunities to enhance client solutions and internal processes.
• Collaborate with CrossCountry and client team members regarding business issues and potential solutions.

What You'll Bring

• 3+ years of experience working with companies in one or more of the following areas: financial reporting, operational accounting, implementing new accounting policy, complex transactions.
• Prior experience in professional services (public accounting, advisory firm, or management consulting firm).
• Strong operational and technical accounting background, including experience researching complex technical accounting issues proactively.
• Comfort with AI: Demonstrated ability to responsibly explore and adopt firm-approved AI tools to enhance productivity and innovation.
• Continuous Learning Mindset: Openness to learning and applying emerging technologies including AI and automation in alignment with firm policies and client standards.
• Professionalism and discretion when interacting with executives and clients.
• In-depth knowledge of accounting standards - U.S. GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles) and/or IFRS (International Financial Reporting Standards).

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree (or higher) in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• CPA (Certified Public Accountant) or CA certification preferred.
• Experience supporting transactions as a result of (or in preparation for) one or more of the following areas: mergers and acquisitions, divestitures, spin-off, carve-out, IPO is preferred but not required.
• Willingness to travel up to 30%. Travel varies based on client preferences.

For applicants located in Washington State, CrossCountry Consulting is required to include an estimate of the compensation range for this role. The following range takes into account a wide range of factors including but not limited to, skills, experience, education, licenses, certifications, business needs, and internal equity. An estimate of the current range is $109,250 - $135,125 + annual bonus + additional benefits.
