Job summary

Flagler County is seeking a skilled trades position under the supervision of the Chief of Trades – Construction, performing advanced repairs and maintenance on county buildings and facilities. This role requires journey-level ability in multiple trades and the capacity to work independently with accuracy and safety.

Applicants should have 5–7 years of construction experience, a high school diploma or equivalent, and preferably a Class B Florida CDL.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• 5–7 years of experience in skilled construction and building maintenance.
• Class B Florida Commercial Driver’s License preferred; CLP within 3 months and CDL within 1 year.

Responsibilities

• Perform highly skilled cement and concrete work, including form building and reading blueprints.
• Carry out routine to complex construction and repairs on county facilities and property.
• Install and repair electrical, plumbing and mechanical systems as needed.
• Operate heavy equipment and ensure compliance with codes and safety standards.
