Job summary

General Dynamics Electric Boat is seeking a D489 Construction Support Component Engineer (Senior/Specialist) to support IPS motor module construction and test programs in Philadelphia, PA. The role includes design and deck plate support for MPS equipment, collaboration with NAVSEA/NNL, and mentoring junior engineers.

The position offers relocation support, 3–6 month training in New London, CT, and potential 2nd/3rd shift differentials.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in engineering or related technical field is required.
• 5–14 years of post-graduate engineering experience is required.

Responsibilities

• Determine root cause of IPS cognizant issues and expeditiously correct deficiencies.
• Perform surveillances of work under area of cognizance.
• Act as primary Electric Boat contact for on-site IPS component suppliers.
• Support development of IPS cognizant component group engineering directions.
