Job summary

BLOX LLC is seeking a proactive Construction Project Supervisor to manage designated phases of building projects on site in Alabama. You will coordinate trades, supervise subcontractors, plan methods, and ensure safety and quality across the project lifecycle.

You will also handle material purchases, advise on changes, and mentor juniors for promotions, while ensuring adherence to build drawings and codes. The role calls for strong leadership and problem resolution skills.

Qualifications

• Requires strong organizational and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to read design drawings and understand building codes.
• Must maintain safety certifications and manage multiple demands.

Responsibilities

• Own designated phase or scope for a construction project.
• Coordinate and direct trades and subcontractors.
• Plan methods like form work, temporary structures, and material handling.
• Purchase general materials and requisition rentals.
• Identify and train PCEs for promotions.
• Advise management on changes beyond original estimate.
• Participate in hiring, termination, and conflict resolution.
• Complete performance reviews of assigned employees.
• Set up layout and verify dimensions against drawings; coordinate shop drawings.
• Inspect quality of company and subcontractor work to meet specifications.
• Enforce safety programs and ensure daily project safety.
• Assume project management in Superintendent's absence.
• Coordinate inbound and outbound truck shipments.
