Job summary

Opus is seeking a Superintendent for our Chicago, IL office who will lead field construction activities, ensuring safety, quality, schedule, and budget while upholding our reputation with clients and communities.

The ideal candidate will have extensive field experience, willingness to travel, and strong leadership to coordinate with subcontractors, permits, and project teams to deliver successful outcomes.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• Bachelor’s degree preferred in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, Architecture or related field.

Responsibilities

• Monitor safety and enforce safety plans on site.
• Oversee all phases of construction at the jobsite and ensure on-time completion.
• Direct subcontractors, manage budgets and schedules, and coordinate with stakeholders.
• Hold weekly jobsite meetings and maintain proper records and reports.
• Ensure building inspections are completed timely and in compliance.
