Job summary

Jobtailor is seeking a Construction Superintendent to plan, coordinate, and oversee all construction projects in Texas. You will ensure on-time delivery, adherence to budget, and quality standards while leading field staff and subcontractors.

You will develop schedules, review submittals, manage change orders and RFIs, and uphold safety with Zero Accidents and XMOP plans. Bilingual English/Spanish and an OSHA 30 certificate are preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in construction management or related field preferred.
• Minimum of 5 years of relevant work experience; 8+ years preferred.
• OSHA 30 Hour certification.
• Valid Driver's License.
• Successful completion of medical physical examination.
• Bilingual English and Spanish preferred.
• Proficiency in developing and executing project schedules.
• Experience coordinating subcontractors, consultants, vendors, and project personnel.
• Ability to set expectations and provide feedback and coaching.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Familiarity with reviewing submittals, shop drawings, change orders, and RFIs.
• Knowledge of safety regulations, compliance standards, and best practices.

Responsibilities

• Plan, coordinate, and oversee all aspects of construction projects
• Ensure projects are completed on time, within budget, and to required quality standards
• Manage job organization, field staff scheduling, assignments, and workplace activity monitoring
• Serve as lead superintendent on smaller projects or lead a particular scope on larger projects
• Create project schedules with activities and logical sequencing
• Review project financial information with Project Management
• Prepare and update Work Progress Schedules and detailed look-ahead schedules
• Conduct weekly subcontractor schedule meetings
• Coordinate scopes of work and develop subcontract scopes or bid packages
• Monitor subcontractor performance against drawings, plans, and contracted scope
• Prepare daily reports and review subcontractor reports
• Review submittals and shop drawings for compliance
• Manage change orders, RFIs, and material submittals
• Develop and execute Zero Accidents and XMOP plans
• Identify subcontractor safety, health, and environmental non-compliance
• Monitor the project site daily and plan future needs
• Maintain relationships with clients, vendors, and internal teams
