Job summary

SunWest Builders is seeking a Construction Superintendent to oversee all phases of a project from planning to closeout. You will supervise field personnel and ensure safety, quality, and on-time completion while working with the Project Manager to meet budgets and client expectations.

The role requires strong communication, math and carpentry skills, plus proficiency in Procore/Bluebeam and project software. A college degree is preferred but not mandatory; high school diploma required.

Responsibilities

• Promote job site safety, enforce safe practices, and rectify hazards immediately.
• Coordinate, supervise and direct all field and trade personnel.
• Read blueprints and architectural details accurately.
• Develop and manage the master project schedule with PM input.
• Manage on-site labor costs and material purchases with PM.
• Communicate project status weekly to PM, Director, and President.
• Maintain strong relationships with building officials and inspectors.
• Keep job site, trailer and vehicles clean and orderly.
• Adhere to building and ADA codes; follow closeout procedures.
• Perform monthly safety reviews for crews on site.
