Job summary

Sunstall Inc. seeks an experienced Construction Superintendent for Southern California projects. The role ensures on-time, on-budget delivery per contract drawings and client expectations, directing field teams and coordinating with subcontractors, suppliers, and inspectors.

A strong background in ground-up building construction is preferred. Candidates should have a valid First Aid and OSHA 10, and at least 3 years as a general superintendent on contractor teams. PMP is a plus.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Bachelor’s degree in architecture, engineering, or construction.
• PMP Certification preferred.
• Experience with union workforce is preferred.
• OSHA 10 training or willingness to obtain.

Responsibilities

• Review drawings, specs, and addenda; prepare RFIs as needed.
• Take detailed daily reports of labor and materials.
• Maintain
• Keep as-built drawings up to date.
• Lead weekly project team meetings and communicate progress.
• Prepare 3-week lookahead schedules for owner meetings.
• Negotiate change orders and track time and material.
• Attend safety toolbox talks and conduct safety meetings.
• Ensure materials and workmanship meet quality standards.
• Assist PM in scheduling and on-site procedures.
• Document construction progress and inform stakeholders.
• Build relationships with owner's reps, inspectors, and architects.
• Lead preconstruction conference with stakeholders.
• Oversee subcontractors to meet the project schedule.
• Coordinate material deliveries and verify against submittals.
• Keep daytime office staff informed of key updates.
