Job summary

LeoForce is seeking a General Superintendent in Oakbrook Terrace, IL to lead field operations across multiple active construction projects. You will direct project superintendents and field teams, ensure safety and quality, and coordinate with management to meet contractual and schedule requirements.

This hands-on leadership role requires a track record of managing complex projects, enforcing safety standards, and fostering accountability among trades.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of progressive field leadership experience in commercial construction.
• Proven experience leading multiple superintendents and complex projects simultaneously.
• Deep understanding of construction means and methods across multiple trades.
• Strong knowledge of safety regulations and quality control practices.
• Ability to read, interpret, and enforce construction documents.
• Excellent communication, leadership, and conflict‑resolution skills.
• Proficiency with construction technology and field reporting tools.
• Ability to lead by example and foster a culture of accountability and respect.

Responsibilities

• Provide overall leadership and direction for all on-site construction activities across multiple projects.
• Champion jobsite safety, enforce compliance, and proactively identify and mitigate risk.
• Lead, mentor, and develop superintendents and field staff.
• Oversee project scheduling, sequencing, logistics, and manpower planning.
• Ensure adherence to contract documents, drawings, and specifications.
• Coordinate with project management to resolve field issues without disrupting workflow.
• Lead subcontractor coordination, jobsite meetings, and field communications.
• Monitor quality control and ensure work is installed in accordance with approved submittals.
• Review progress, productivity, and performance metrics and implement corrective actions as needed.
• Maintain strong client relationships through professionalism, transparency, and accountability.
• Support preconstruction and planning efforts when applicable.
