Job summary

Charah Solutions Inc. in Albany, GA, is seeking a seasoned Construction Foreman/Superintendent to lead a large project crew on site. You will read drawings, manage schedules, enforce safety standards, and coordinate with subcontractors to meet quality and budget targets.

This role requires 5–7 years in a foreman or superintendent role, knowledge of Trimble GPS, and strong communication skills. The position involves night/weekend shifts, heavy equipment operation, and adherence to OSHA/DOT

Qualifications

• 5–7 years in a Construction Foreman or Superintendent role required.
• Knowledge of Trimble GPS required.
• Knowledge of machines and tools, including their designs, uses, repair, and maintenance.
• Project Management Certification or equivalent may be required based on the scope of the project managed.
• High School diploma or equivalent is required.

Responsibilities

• Meets operational standards by contributing construction information to strategic plans and reviews; driving production, ensuring quality, and upholding customer-service standards; resolving problems; identifying improvements.
• Maintains safe, secure, and healthy work environment by following and enforcing Charah safety standards and procedures; complying with, and enforcing, OSHA, MSHA and DOT codes and regulations.
• Understand construction drawings, specifications, permits and layouts.
• Understands and adheres to project budget specifications, project schedules and production demands.
• Accomplishes construction human resource objectives by selecting, training, scheduling, coaching, and disciplining employees; communicating job expectations; planning; executing; monitoring/controlling, appraising job contributions; recommending compensation actions; adhering to policies and procedures.
• Assists with managing sub-contractors; evaluating and monitoring their performance.
• Ability to operate Heavy Equipment is imperative in training and evaluating performance.
• Ability to act independently and to originate new procedures and new approaches to problems.
• Ability to maintain initiative to maintain the flow of work.
