Job summary

Macdonald & Company is seeking an experienced Construction Superintendent to oversee commercial projects in the Dallas–Fort Worth area, ensuring safety, schedule, budget, and quality. You will lead on-site teams, coordinate subcontractors, read plans, and enforce OSHA standards while driving project documentation and stakeholder communication.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of experience as a Construction Superintendent.
• Experience managing commercial construction projects.
• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specs.
• Strong leadership and communication skills.
• OSHA 30 certification preferred.
• Texas driver’s license required.

Responsibilities

• Manage daily on-site construction operations from groundbreaking through project completion.
• Coordinate and supervise subcontractors, vendors, and field personnel.
• Ensure work is performed according to plans, specifications, and project schedules.
• Maintain OSHA safety standards and promote a strong safety culture.
• Conduct daily site inspections and quality control reviews.
• Monitor project progress and identify potential schedule impacts.
• Coordinate inspections with local authorities and ensure code compliance.
• Maintain accurate daily reports, project documentation, and job logs.
• Collaborate closely with project managers, architects, engineers, and clients.
• Resolve field issues efficiently while minimizing project delays.
• Ensure materials, equipment, and labor resources are properly coordinated.
