Job summary

Next 150 Construction Services is seeking a General Superintendent to lead the field operations on a large commercial/industrial project. You will supervise a team of superintendents, coordinate trades, monitor safety, schedule, and budget, and ensure compliance with the project plans and company policies.

The role requires strong leadership, excellent communication, and a deep understanding of construction processes.

Qualifications

• 8–15 years of experience on a $15–50+ million commercial/industrial construction project or multiple projects in a superintendent role
• Or equivalent combination of education and experience
• OSHA 30 hour certified
• Healthcare and/or higher education experience preferred

Responsibilities

• Ensures day-to-day coordination of trade contractors and sub-contractors to meet the project schedule
• Manages the project budget for general conditions and site services
• Develops, documents and communicates the field work plan for changes
• Maintains understanding of contract documents to anticipate problems
• Obtains necessary permits for construction activities
• Verifies safety compliance with all trades and enforces safety plan
• Leads contractor meetings and supervises project team
• Creates and updates the project schedule and contingency plans
• Tracks production and cost of work
• Communicates schedule status to Project Team and trades
