Job summary

Edwards Construction Group is seeking an experienced Construction Superintendent II to take ownership of complex public works projects. You will lead site operations, manage safety, and drive project momentum using Procore, BIM, and Trimble Connect in a fast-paced environment.

You will collaborate with PMs to maintain schedules, submittals, and change orders while mentoring junior staff. A strong leader with clear communication will thrive on delivering projects on time and within budget.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of Superintendent experience in public works or related construction.
• Strong knowledge of construction management, project management, estimating, and site duties.
• Familiarity with Procore, BIM software, Trimble Connect, etc.
• Ability to lead multiple phases and crews on complex projects.
• Excellent organizational and communication skills.
• Proactive leadership and mentorship under pressure.

Responsibilities

• Lead one or more active public works projects, with typical annual billings over $10M.
• Prepare and maintain a 3-week lookahead schedule weekly; monitor progress and delays.
• Document and mitigate delays with PMs; coordinate with owners and architects.
• Use an iPad and Procore daily for RFIs, Submittals, Schedule, and Logs.
• Navigate BIM/Trimble Connect and train others as needed.
• Support PM to create/update Gantt schedules and manage PCOs/CCOs.
• Maintain thorough daily logs of manpower, delays, equipment, deliveries.
• Oversee site safety and foster a culture of safety and collaboration.
• Maintain confidentiality on project financials and strategic data.
• Mentor and lead with professionalism; handle stress calmly.
• Respond to meeting minutes and keep PM well-informed.
• Build positive relationships with subcontractors and the Inspector of Record.
