Job summary

Kelso Industries, based in Texas, seeks an experienced Construction Superintendent to lead onsite activities, manage day-to-day field operations, and ensure safety, quality, and schedule compliance on diverse projects.

You will coordinate with project managers, subcontractors, and suppliers, uphold safety plans, review documents, and drive timely completion, ensuring project goals are met with high standards.

Qualifications

• Experience as a construction superintendent or similar role on trade Mullins self-performs, or equivalent.
• Strong knowledge of safety, quality, and health guidelines for construction sites.
• Ability to lead and inspire teams and communicate professionally.
• Proficiency in MS Office and MS Project; capable of reviewing plans and schedules.

Responsibilities

• Lead onsite construction as a unified team and manage field operations.
• Coordinate day-to-day project activities and ensure schedule adherence.
• Manage field responsibilities on medium to complex projects and multiple teams.
• Collaborate with PMs to create and maintain project schedules.
• Lead onboarding and training of new hires on site and assign tasks.
• Conduct regular performance reviews for staff and subcontractors.
• Provide technical guidance during bidding and liaise with estimating team.
• Ensure safety policies are enforced and incidents are reported promptly.
• Prepare two-week look-ahead schedules with the PM and communicate delays.
• Oversee material management, procurement, and equipment calls.
• Lead weekly project meetings and track Foremen/subcontractor progress.
• Ensure proper close-out processes and lessons learned.
