Job summary

Leopardo Companies in the Greater Cleveland Area seeks a Superintendent II to lead day-to-day field operations on medium-sized projects or as part of a team on larger projects. You will plan, direct, and coordinate designated activity, including subcontractor coordination and quality control.

Responsibilities include managing schedules, conducting safety talks, reviewing documents in PlanGrid, and leading pre/post-construction meetings.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in construction, engineering, architecture or related field or equivalent training and experience.
• 5+ years of supervisory experience as a construction Superintendent or Assistant Superintendent and a clear understanding of the business side of construction.
• Comprehensive understanding in all divisions of work, methods, materials, scheduling and cost control; knowledge of the market is required.
• Proven record of success on singular mid-sized projects ($1-5M) or multiple small-sized projects concurrently. Healthcare, retail and/or hospitality markets preferred.
• Thorough understanding in construction technologies such as: scheduling software (Raken), Bluebeam, PlanGrid and ability to read blueprints.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate daily subcontractor, foremen, and self-perform activities.
• Initiate a project quality plan to monitor initiatives, document observations and ensure compliance to work quality standards.
• Verify field conditions by conducting daily jobsite walkthroughs and daily safe work plans and toolbox talks.
• Monitor the master schedule, create two-week look ahead, and track critical dates affecting project completion.
• Coordinate and participate in pre-construction, weekly, and post-construction meetings.
• Review construction documents and maintain on-site and in PlanGrid.
• Generate pre-punch and punch lists, assign responsibilities, and ensure timely completion.
