Job summary

SpaceX is seeking a Construction Superintendent in Bastrop, TX to oversee facilities construction projects from start to finish. You will coordinate vendors, schedule trades, and ensure safety, quality, and regulatory compliance on site.

You will work with Design Engineers, Project Managers and Maintenance techs to deliver world-class facilities, while maintaining thorough records and ensuring timely payments and inspections. Strong leadership of on-site teams is essential.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalency certificate.
• 5+ years of experience in the construction industry.
• 2+ years of experience leading the coordination of multiple trades on site.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate facilities projects to ensure vendors meet standards and deliver services, materials, and craftsmanship.
• Plan and direct construction activities for internal resources and all subcontractors; lead coordination meetings.
• Maintain daily logs, progress and financial reports for construction projects.
• Enforce contract expectations and communicate discrepancies with subcontractors.
• Approve completed work and manage related issues; authorize subcontractor payments after inspection.
• Maintain a safe site by enforcing OSHA requirements and applicable regulations.
• Ensure inspections are scheduled and checklists are completed and passed.
• Monitor site cleanliness and require routine subcontractor cleanup.
• Schedule and manage subcontractors for warranty repairs; develop rapport with partners.
• Coordinate inspections with local officials and manage project tickets and work orders.
• Create purchase orders as needed to support timely execution (rentals, materials, subcontractor labor).
