Job summary

SpaceX in Bastrop, TX is seeking a Sr. Construction Project Manager to lead multidisciplinary infrastructure and large capital projects across the Austin area.

You will manage projects from scope and cost development through construction, commissioning, and turnover, coordinating with engineers, vendors, and internal customers. The role requires 8+ years in engineering, architecture, or construction management, or a bachelor's plus 4+ years; ITAR eligibility; travel up to 15%; outdoor work;

Qualifications

• Eight or more years of professional experience in engineering, architecture, or construction management, or a bachelor’s degree plus four or more years of construction-management experience.
• Major construction-project management, strategic facilities planning, technical design, and value-engineering experience are preferred.
• Ability to manage several priorities with limited guidance and to communicate with contractors, fabricators, and internal customers.
• Work at elevated heights and outdoors in heat, cold, rain, and snow; lift up to 25 pounds as needed.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the full lifecycle of multidisciplinary construction projects from scope to closeout.
• Gather proposals from architects, engineers, vendors, and contractors and evaluate bids.
• Develop final project costs and schedules; manage subcontractor contracts through closeout.
• Coordinate regulatory approvals and track invoices; ensure field design and construction alignment.
• Coordinate across civil, structural, mechanical, electrical, piping, geotechnical, and surveying vendors.
