Job summary

SpaceX in McGregor, TX is seeking a Construction Superintendent to oversee field execution of facilities construction projects. You will coordinate design engineers, project managers, facilities staff, vendors, and internal partners to drive projects from start to finish on-site.

You will lead multi-trade coordination, enforce contract expectations, and maintain detailed records while ensuring a safe, compliant site in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalency certificate.
• 5+ years of experience in the construction industry.
• 2+ years of experience leading the coordination of multiple trades on-site.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate facilities projects to ensure vendors meet standards while delivering services, materials, and craftsmanship.
• Plan and direct construction activities of internal resources and subcontractors for each phase of construction and lead coordination meetings between trades.
• Maintain records of daily logs, progress reports, and financial reports related to construction of facilities.
• Enforce contract expectations from subcontractors and communicate discrepancies.
• Approve work by subcontractors and handle related issues.
• Authorize payments to subcontractors after inspection of work.
• Maintain a safe work site by enforcing OSHA requirements and safety practices.
• Verify checklists are complete and inspections scheduled and passed.
• Monitor subcontractor cleanup and overall site cleanliness.
• Schedule and manage subcontractors for warranty repairs.
• Develop rapport with subcontractors, operators, and inspectors.
• Coordinate inspections with local officials.
• Review project tickets and create work orders as needed; manage completion.
• Create purchase orders to support timely project execution (rentals, materials, subcontractor labor).
