Job summary

Caddell Construction in Montgomery, AL is seeking a Superintendent - Governmental to lead field operations on government projects. You will work with the project superintendent and PM to finalize plans, schedules, and resource needs, while directing craftsmen and subcontractors in the field.

Travel nationwide is required to support project needs. The role emphasizes safety, quality, timely execution, and clear communication with engineering, QC, and owner representatives.

Qualifications

• Minimum high school diploma/GED and four years' experience as foreman or assistant superintendent.
• Four-year degree in engineering or construction management with four years' experience preferred.
• Strong communication, planning, and coordination to lead field teams.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with project superintendent/PM to finalize plan of operations and schedule.
• Direct day-to-day field work of crafts and subcontractors via foreman or reps.
• Maintain communications with engineering, QC and safety to ensure compliance.
• Review plans, budgets and quantities with PM and superintendent.
• Contribute to short-term look-ahead schedules and weekly subcontractor meetings.
• Assist in material receiving, storage and handling planning.
• Help resolve construction problems impacting productivity or interfaces.
• Foster good relations with owner and project partners for collaboration.
• Report to PM with any deviations and pursue safe execution.
